Game Development So Far
For the last planning post two weeks ago I said I would finish off the clothing for the clients and then move onto the next task which was to be decided by Team Raven.
I’m pleased to say I’ve completed this iteration for the clothing of the clients and I’m really happy with the results!
With all the colour from the clothes, skin tones and hair Gym Empire is starting to get a really nice vibrant look to it. I always wanted it to have its own characteristic style and stand out and I feel it’s really getting there J. After finishing the clothing updates Team Raven decided on UI being the next area to focus on. So for the past week I’ve been working on that. I’m really excited about updating the UI as I feel this will be another huge step in creating a distinct look and feel for the game and will really take it to the next level of maturity.
Other Developments
Other than the development I also had my second game development interview last week. It was with Lapsed Game Radio, one of my favourite podcasts to listen to so I was really psyched about it! It was the day after I got back from holiday so was a great end to a brilliant week off. The interview was a blast and I had a genuinely interesting conversation with the host Stuart. It was weird talking to someone I’ve been listening to for so long, I’d go so far as to say I was slightly star struck but Stuart is such a great guy it felt like just chatting with a mate. The final edited version should be available this Monday 6th August so keep an eye out for that!
